Predictive Maintenance Integration Creates Significant Energy Savings
Room Number: 114
Presenter(s): Dale P. Smith, CMRP, Corporate Programs Manager, Predictive Service
An untapped opportunity may lie within the hands of the maintenance teams and their use of predictive maintenance (PdM) tools. Through the general course of maintaining systems, maximizing reliability and facility uptime, they are also finding and mitigating point-of-use energy waste. The right collaboration of knowledge, technologies, skills and timely information between energy engineers, facility leaders, and maintenance and reliability teams and the use of centralized web-based software can achieve significant energy savings without large capital requirements.
Learning Objective:
1. Comprehend the four key PdM tools to collect mountains of condition monitoring data which is then centralized, filtered, sorted and reported through web-based database and dashboard of analysis tools highlighting enhanced safety, reliability, facility capacity, efficiency and ROI information
2. Learn how cost-effective predictive maintenance technologies and basic energy calculations can mine energy savings from processes and maintenance activities
3. Demonstrate how to correctly centralize and package information so that maintenance and reliability professionals can build financial justification and support for strategies
