The Role of Government Tax Incentives and Smart Building Retrofits

This presentation provides an overview of the importance of smart building retrofits with respect to reducing energy consumption, building operating costs and carbon emissions. An overview will be provided of current incentives, proposed incentives and the efforts GreenLink is making with federal tax credits geared towards residential and commercial retrofits. The Obama administration has put strong objectives in place with respect to energy and retrofitting buildings and it is important for those in the facilities management field to know what is going on from a policy perspective.
