Room Number: 101
Presenter(s): Michael B. Cowley, CPMM, President, CE Maintenance Solutions
What needs to change within a maintenance organization when business conditions become difficult and reductions in maintenance staff and expenditures are looming?
This workshop will provide new ideas and solutions for maintenance professionals charged with managing the maintenance function on a reduced budget. This seminar will address adjusting asset priorities, managing overtime, increasing craftsman efficiency, improving supervision time and quality and managing repair parts inventory. Attendees will also explore opportunities in outsourcing and out tasking the maintenance activity. Finally, last-resort options such as deferring maintenance activities on non-critical assets and reducing maintenance staff will be discussed.
