With the advancement of wireless communications amongst intelligent devices, a wireless control network has become a viable option for many building automation control system installations. This wireless alternative is becoming increasingly popular as the benefits of a money saving and time saving installation scenario become clear. Whether retrofit of controls in an existing building or a new control installation in a new building, the benefits of wireless control networks are numerous and compelling. This session will highlight the customer benefits gained with wireless control network technologies and bring in lessons from real-world installation experiences. In addition, the session will provide a glimpse at the not so distant future with BACnet and Zigbee certified wireless controllers no longer just an idea, but becoming a reality.
