Sustainability in existing buildings is more challenging to achieve than it is in new construction. Aging buildings, obsolete and inefficient building systems coupled with outdated practices make achieving sustainable goals costly and time consuming. This session will explore the five key things you need to know to start down the path of sustainability in your existing buildings, including: water efficiency; energy efficiency; sustainable purchasing; material handling; air quality and cleaning.
